PARDAK®
Car Park Paving System
With the increase in car numbers predicted to continue, the option of rooftop parking is becoming more widespread throughout many of the congested cities of Europe. The concentration of shops and public facilities demands a high capacity of affordable and convenient parking. Zoontjens has designed Pardak®, an easily demountable paving system for this purpose.View and download the PARDAK brochure
PARDAK®
There are two PARDAK® systems:Pardak® 60 - Ideal for smaller roofs with a relatively low traffic intensity or few parking movements, e.g. for office buildings, residential complexes, garages.
Pardak® 90 - Ideal for parking roofs, from small to very large roofs with high traffic intensity and many parking movements, e.g. for shopping centres, supermarkets, public buildings, etc.
Inverted roofs
Most Pardak roofs are used in an inverted roof design, a tried and tested form of construction that has a proven lifespan of more than 30 years. One major advantage of an inverted roof is the protection that is provided for the waterproofing system. High compressive strength XPS insulation is laid under the Pardak system that has been developed by Zoontjens. The high strength vacuum concrete slabs and large slab supports will accommodate passenger cars.Warm roof
Warm roof specifications with Pardak parking roof systems are usually constructed of Foamglas S3 or F insulation panels. This specification, entirely enclosed in bitumen with a fully bonded waterproofing system, has much the same advantage as a fully bonded design. Any accidental damage is limited to the zone in which it occurs and water penetration remains localised, simplifying location and repair.Uninsulated parking deck
On an uninsulated parking deck - the Pardak systems are placed on a fully bonded waterproofing system.Roof refurbishments
In most cases an existing parking roof can be renovated using a Pardak roof system. Checks should be made to ensure that the structure will accommodate any increased load. A major advantage in refurbishment is that the work can usually be carried out with a minimum loss of parking space.View and download PARDAK® case studies
