To build a roof terrace, you need the right materials. Zoontjens’ slab systems are designed to ensure a stable and durable roof terrace.

Stability of shape, dimensions and the rooftop terraces itself are the three anchors of a durable roof terrace. To guarantee this, we develop our own roof paving systems. Of the highest quality. Devised and applied ourselves. It makes us inventor and implementer at the same time. We have our own, precisely fitting system for every slab. On our roof terraces, the slabs are always stable and secure.

Rooftop terrace stability
When installing a rooftop terrace, stability at the edges is very important. These areas are sensitive and need to be constructed properly. At the edges, against walls or other vertical structures, the special edge zone system guarantees stability by supporting and enclosing the slabs.

Edge zone system
For a rooftop terrace with ceramic slabs, there are are three different work approaches, depending on the edge finish:

  1. To lay a complete slab, first place a 2-section fixplate lock with glue in the edge zone.
  2. To lay a cut section of slab longer than 30 cm, first place a 2-section fixplate lock with glue in the edge zone, in combination with a standard fixplate lock, also glued.
  3. To lay a cut section of slab with a length of between 21 and 30 cm, first place an edge zone disc in the edge zone, without glue, in combination with a standard fixplate lock with glue.

The slabs are locked and fixed in position, but you still have access to the subsurface.
The unique systems from Zoontjens always deliver a stable and durable rooftop terrace, with clean lines, guaranteed. We demonstrate it in this video:
