Using the patented DNS® system from Zoontjens, rooftop paving can be quickly and simply raised to the required height. A further unique characteristic is the effective rainwater management offered by our roof paving system.
To achieve the required height, we make use of the DNS® pipe system. Using a building laser, the precise height of each lifting element is determined. The pipe is then sawn to the required height and mounted in a pressure distribution foot. The result is a perfectly level walking surface.
DNS® is ideally suited for paving on living roofs, rooftop terraces, rooftop gardens, cellar roofs, courtyards and promenades. DNS® can be used in combination with any finishing material from Zoontjens. A specific laying element has been developed for each finishing material, to guarantee a cleanly laid roof surface. For slabs measuring more than 60x60 cm or for raising the level by more than 40 cm, DNS®Large must be used.
For stability near walls or other raised elements, the slabs are supported by special edge platforms. Any gaps that occur at interruptions in the rooftop paving (around planters and green strips) are sealed with plastic strips that are clamped between the edge platforms.
To ensure the regular design of your paving system, Zoontjens prepares a laying plan in advance, for every DNS® project. This plan guarantees that the spaces match as smoothly as possible at the edges, corners and end sections. In this way, labour-intensive cutting is kept to a minimum.
