Used is the new new! That is the motto of BMW dealer Kalfsbeek in Schiedam for their new showroom for used cars. Besides the existing showroom and workshop, they built Premium Car World.
The newbuild premises beautifully matches the existing premises and can be reached through the main entrance. The design is by Mies Architectuur, and Van Mierlo Bouw & Ontwikkeling was responsible for the actual building work. In order to make optimum use of the space, the building features a rooftop car park on the third floor. This has created extra room for parking cars.
A Pardak®80 system was used to construct the rooftop car park. This is a system which is highly suitable for car dealerships. Since their roofs are driven on less intensively, the dynamic load on these roofs is less.
