In the Dutch seaside town of Zandvoort (also known for Formula 1), next to the distinctive and recognisable water tower, the Bad Zandvoort project has been developed: 4 apartment buildings with a shared rooftop terrace. Zoontjens supplied and installed the rooftop slab system for this terrace.
4 new buildings
The 4 apartment buildings, developed by 3 architectural firms, are all connected by a shared parking area and, on top of that, a shared rooftop terrace. The residential blocks offer a varied range of apartments, from social housing to privately owned, meeting the most modern living standards of today.
SHARED ROOFTOP TERRACE
The shared rooftop terrace covers no less than 1,100 square metres and is beautifully decorated with benches and planter boxes. Zoontjens was commissioned to install the rooftop terrace. Following the request from Vink Bouw to install roof slabs in the size 50×50 cm and in the colours grey and anthracite, we opted for Dreen®Nxt urban grey and pepper.
Spie finish
The rooftop terrace has a semi-circular layout and connects four blocks. To ensure proper installation and seamless connection, we used a wedge finish at the junctions. With a well-prepared installation plan and precise cutting, this was executed perfectly. Although the beach is just a stone’s throw away, the residents have their own pleasant space here to sit and meet each other.
