C-sight
Cadzand-Bad

Located at the marina of Cadzand-Bad — a popular Dutch seaside resort — the C-Sight development has taken shape: a collection of apartments, penthouses, houses and commercial spaces designed in a characteristically romantic Norman cottage style. A rooftop garden connects the front and rear sections of the development, serving as a central meeting place.

Building by the sea

C-Sight was developed by HPlus Vastgoed and Cordeel, with architectural design by VG Architecten. The above-ground construction was carried out by Broere de Bruijne (Bouwgroep Schrijver). The underground car park, providing more than 80 parking spaces, along with private garages and storage units, had already been completed earlier by Cordeel Nederland.

A connecting courtyard garden

The three stately townhouses along the boulevard accommodate a total of 26 apartments, each featuring enclosed balconies or generous roof terraces laid with Dreen®Ceramica. At the rear, seven detached holiday homes have been built. The shared courtyard garden brings both building sections together into one cohesive whole.

Varying levels and a ramp

You would hardly notice that this garden is located on a rooftop. However, its construction naturally required careful planning. Zoontjens was commissioned by idverde to install the paving. The Dreentegel® on DNS® system was chosen, as it is particularly well-suited to bridging differences in height. The integrated ramp was also realised to perfection using our slope correctors.

An outdoor space that feels right

The paving complements the architecture, supports the greenery, and gives no indication of the car park beneath. The result is an outdoor space that feels entirely natural. Exactly as intended.
